Pastoral Care

At Eaton International School we believe that pupil wellbeing lays the foundations for academic excellence. Pupils are supported by all staff who embed our Core Values throughout lessons in the classroom, as well as in our extensive extracurricular programme and educational visits. We ensure pupils are given one-to-one support, addressing both their academic and emotional needs and building on their strengths, whilst developing relationships and creating a supportive community of Eatonians.

Our pupils are divided into Homerooms, each with a dedicated Homeroom Tutor and support staff. These groups stay together from year 7 to year 11, creating a bond between peers, teachers and parents. During KS3 pupils study non-core subjects in their Homeroom, as well as PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) Education.

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)

As our pupils develop and grow, they will encounter many changes and struggles, we provide an in-depth curriculum aimed to prepare Eatonians for their formative years as well as adulthood. Using a British Framework carefully tailored to Malaysian values, we address a range of topics covering social, moral and cultural issues.

The topics grow with the pupils; from personal change and making new friends in Year 7, to revision skills and application writing in Year 11, we ensure our pupils are suitably prepared for each step of their personal journey.

In Key Stage 3

PSHE is taught in a dedicated 40 minute period once a week, followed by an assembly focussed and building on the overarching theme of the day.

In Key Stage 4

PSHE is taught during Homeroom time through a variety of ongoing projects and one off lessons.
